25 (Plus) Sites for Free Images

Today, I’ve got a list of 25 sites with free images for everyday use on websites, advertising, book covers, etc. Be sure to check the licensing as some require attribution.

Although this list is aimed toward helping other authors, these images would be useful for websites and blogs in any business.

I’m starting with my favorite, Unsplash, whose images are so incredible, I had a difficult time choosing one for an example.

As a fantasy author who often needs “old fashion” images or pictures of mythical beasts (who are for whatever reason camera shy), I often use https://www.surlalunefairytales.com/illustrations/index.html which has public domain fairy tale illustrations. There are multiple styles and they are gorgeous.
